How to feed your hair...

How does one feed their hair? From the inside out...

Healthy hair starts from within. We need to eat healthy foods such as fruits and veggies and drink lots of water. By eating healthy and staying hydrated, our hair will be its healthiest...shiny and strong!

Tips on getting enough fruits and veggies:
  • Protein shakes with fruit and spinach
  • Juicing fruits and veggies
  • Raw fruits
  • Raw veggies dipped in hummus
Take your daily vitamins!
Talk to your doctor about organic all in one vitamins or liquid vitamin options.

That covers how to feed your hair from the inside. Let's take a look at feeding it from the outside...

Limit added head and chemicals:
Add very little heat from the blow drier, curling iron and straightener.
Use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners  OYA Beauty has an amazing line!

OYA color class update

Our OYA color class that we hosted at the spa went really well! I learned a thing or two about these fabulous hair products that contain less chemicals and more good things such as green tea and sea kelp, than all other products on the market.

After the class concluded I was offered an opportunity to become and OYA Beauty educator and I am in the process of moving forward with this amazing opportunity!

I love how the products are healthier for us and our hair! I am all about clean eating, exercise and a healthy lifestyle so OYA falls right in line with what I already know and practice.

Micro foil VS chunky foil

What is the difference between a micro foil and a chunky foil?

The easiest way for me to explain the difference between the 2 types of foils would be to show you pictures.

The first picture is a micro foil that I did on a client. It is a seamless and natural look. These are before and after photos...it brightened up her hair color beautifully, without looking like she had a color service.

This next picture is a chunky foil performed by someone other than myself. I found the picture through Google just to give you an example.

Natural, seamless foils are popular right now, but I'm sure chunky foils will make a comeback one day!

4. Avoid shampoos with sulfates.

5. Avoid styling products with alcohol.

6. Avoid chlorinated water and long periods in the sun.
